TV & Computer Combinations

Post by B£ÅÇK®ÅM on Fri Oct 04, 2013 3:50 am

If anybody wants to post links for software or advice for tv and computer hook ups here please feel free to do so. I am in the process of setting one up myself and could use the info as well. At this time I have XBMC, SamyGO, TVersity Pro 2.4, and Plex Media Server I plan to use on a Samsung Smart TV. Smile

I got my 40" Samsung Smart tv up and running and I love it for movies. Mainly I'm using XBMC but I'm able to use anything else I used on my computer before as well as my browser.

I'm not sure about that as I don't use Android. They do have XBMC for Android though. However there are several Android emulators out that let's you run it on a pc just like you were on your phone. You can install apps on it too. I know of one that doesn't require a phone number to use too. Right now I'm using my pc with a 22" monitor and the 40" tv. I can switch one of them off or use them both at the same time.

I'll see when I'll have the Android stick. I need it for some streams with token, some streams from dreamboxes and some udp.. Hopefully, I will find a good player.

I bought an HDTV antenna for my tv setup yesterday and it gave me 19 more local hd channels for free. I got ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox as well in them. I finally settled on using The Hive, XBMC, SimpleTV and Winamp Pro on the computer as well. I am also able to play media that is on any computer on my wireless network. That gives me more than I can possibly use of tv, music and movies.
